Course Objectives:
This course culminates in the teachings of introductory forms of magic, including the tools of misdirection, magnification, minimization, and tempo. The effects taught contain elements requiring thought, magic “choreography,” and escalating phases. Emphasis is placed on using conviction and premise to hook an audience and take them to a place of reaction. A sample of the material taught to students:
- Prediction effects with cards
- Spelling effects with cards
- Transportation effects
- Rope magic
- A bottle cap “assembly”
- Mentalism with borrowed books
- Sleights and sequences with the Cups & Balls
All props and materials will be provided.
Refunds for cancellations, as well as transfers of classes, substitutions of attendees, or deferrals of class, will be accommodated seven days before the class start date.
Late cancellations and requests for transfers or deferments after the seven cancellation/transfer deadline will result in a Magic Castle credit for Magic University offerings (adult and/or kids classes or Specialty classes) within the calendar year in which courses are offered.
