Course Objectives:
This course introduces students to fundamental principles and techniques of magic, allowing them to perform effects utilizing a deck of cards as well as other common items. Students will also be taught core concepts of mentalism and aspects of performance that are employed to make magic presentations impactful. Among the effects/techniques covered are:



• The control of a selected playing card
• The forcing of playing cards
• False Shuffles
• Stacks
• Basic palming technique
• Multiple “Outs”
• Coin effects
• Cups & Balls – an introductory sequence
  

 All props and materials will be provided.
