Magic University News - July 29, 2019

Hello magic friends! There is a lot to update you on in this edition of Magic University News! Let's jump on in.

Many of you have asked for the status on our classroom renovations. As of right now, it's looking like they won't actually affect the August/September semester, like we were originally told. Instead, they will take place after the semester ends, which makes things much easier!

Behind the scenes, we're working hard to improve the program by exploring concepts like overhauling and upgrading the curriculum, adding more organized levels and allowing students to choose their own track. We definitely understand that some students take the craft more seriously than others and education is not one-size-fits-all. Hopefully our new plan will give everyone an opportunity to learn at a comfortable pace. We're not sure when any changes will be made, but we're aiming for January 2020. More details should be available in our next newsletter.

More classes are starting in two weeks and there are a handful of seats left. The summer and holiday semesters were traditionally fairly slow in the past, but we're thrilled that so many of you are allowing us to share the craft with you now! We know, we know... It's too early to start thinking about the holidays. But also keep in mind that if you are planning to gift classes to anyone, we'd recommend taking a moment to get them enrolled before it's too late. We even added a couple extra introductory classes to get everyone in!

For this next semester, we have even more specialty classes available! Rich Cowley will be taking over on Sundays to offer an entire course on the linking rings and the cups & balls in the morning and then a brand new class on memory techniques in the afternoon. We only added them to the website last week, but they're already gaining quite a bit of momentum. Additionally, we will have two separate two-day weekend classes, which are perfect for out-of-towners looking for a fun way to spend a weekend in Hollywood! Chef Anton will be back to melt your minds in his School for Scoundrels class in late August. The hilarious Harrison Lampert will also be hosting his Improv & Magic class in late September, which is an absolute must for anyone looking to interact with an audience on a higher level. Come learn, laugh, and play in a completely new way!
