Magic I is a 6-week course held from 3:00 - 5:00 PM on Sundays. This course will focus on basic principles of card and coin magic including forces, controls, and rudimentary palming as well as discussions involving the history and theory of magic that will allow the student to develop an appreciation for the art form.
This class is designed to provide the skills and knowledge necessary to perform basic magic by combining instructor presentations, step-by-step explanations, hands-on instruction, practice techniques, group practice sessions, and individual performance.
Identify and Describe the key principles of Magic.
Identify and Describe the basic styles of Magic.
Practice basic handling techniques for common magic props.
Identify, Describe and Demonstrate fundamental effects.
Identify, Describe, and Evaluate the key elements of flashing.
Create, Perform and Evaluate an original storyline incorporating a magic effect.
All props and materials will be provided.
