Magic IV students will explore presentation styles that best suit their personality as well as spend time on the importance of writing original patter (including humor or appropriate comedy) including how to link a variety of effects together into a cohesive routine. Advanced techniques involving dollar bills, cards and coins will be taught including magic with gimmick-ed cards and coins.
This course is designed to provide the skills and knowledge necessary to perfect student performances by transitioning between effects, finding a unique style, learning how to handle crowds, and much more. It will combine instructor presentation, step-by-step explanation, hands-on instruction, group practice sessions and individual performance.
Course Objectives:
Props will be provided by the Academy of Magical Arts and include a close up pad (if you have not taken Magic I), wand, half dollars (6), finger ring, paddle (blank), scissors, newspaper, baby powder, white rope (1-4 ft), rubber bands, notebook and pen as well as index cards.
